Can 3002s still route to internet if VPN tunnel is down

We have an issue where if our central site VPN concentrator goes down then all of our remote sites can't access the internet. I just want to know if this is another built in "feature" of the 3002 Hardware Client, and if it isn't then what do we need to do to make them access the internet again. BTW I did just upgrade them all to the latest client version, but that didn't seem to help much.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Can 3002s still route to internet if VPN tunnel is down

Hi,

I think this is how 3002 works. It is still a hardware client, so VPN 3000 down, it will not able to going to internet any more.

If you are using a PIX or 800 routers, building up lan to lan tunnels, it will not have this problem.

For VPN 3002, You might need contact your account manager in Cisco to fill out business request form for this feature. And your requirement will directly going to our developing engineer group. They will evaluate it and might be able to do somehting about it.

Best Regards,
