My service provider gives Cisco677 routers for their modem/router to their DSL service. However, this router does not support VPN technology. I'm wondering if I can connect a router to this device that IS IPsec capable and have it work. Will the cisco677 allow this to pass through or will it simply not be able to handle it? Can I configure the 677 to look like a modem without using any routing features?
Help?!?!?

The 677 is like any other router except that its features are very limited. No, you are correct, you cant build the VPN with this router but you can build it through the router without problem. Just remember that the router must NOT be configured for NAT overflow (NAT is okay). Other than that, you should have no problems.

Ok. What is a cheap configuration with cisco products to connect to small offices by VPN by ADSL that has the 677 as access router to the internet?.
What another product i must buy to make the VPN?
thanks
