Can't go anywhere after getting IPsec session

I have ASA 5540 configured for remote IPsec. I get IPsec session but then I can't get any here.

Other set up seems to be fine except one thing, my session (172.31.0.1) is pointing to default gateway instead of tunneled gateway.

Shouldn't the session IP should have gateway pointing to tunneled gateway? Why would it be pointing to default gateway?

I think that the session should point to tunneled gateway. Following links may help you
