I'm using Cisco VPN Client 4.8 and vpn into a 3005 concentrator. Installed on my home PC running XP SP2. Can't ping any network machines, but offsite admin can ping everything using my profile. Also have installed the client on my Win2000 machine - can't ping. Earthlink is my ISP. Any thoughts as to why I can connect but not access resources or ping anything??
Thanks,
Linda

The issue may be due to Access lists configured. By disabling the Access list for certain tyrpe of packets the connection can be established and you can access the resources.

Within your Cisco VPN client, try going to Connection Entry - Modify - Transport. Under Transport, look to see if the Allow Local LAN Access box is checked.

This can happen only if you have your encryption domains misconfigured. i.e the access-lists have to be proper.
