I'm having a problem with two 3.x series sensors. I can add them into the IDS MC, but when I "generate" for a signature update I get the following errrors:
Sensor-4210: Generate failed. There are errors in the configuration of the Blocking Devices: (The source address 'Any' makes the remainder of the source addresses unneccessary.).
These errors must be corrected before you can deploy the configuration for Sensor Sensor-4210.
Sensor-4230: Generate failed. There are errors in the configuration of the Blocking Devices: (Invalid IP address. Please enter: An IP Address of the form XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX where XXX is an integer between 0 and 255 inclusive.).
These errors must be corrected before you can deploy the configuration for Sensor Sensor-4230.
I've looked at the config files (/usr/nr/etc/*) on the sensors and see nothing which indicates that I have a blocking device identified or even enabled.
Am I missing something. I've even deleted and readded these sensors several times.
We had a similar problem where a similar message (can't remember exactly) was being flashed by our device. The problem turned out to be a misconfigured IP address. You should probably recheck all the configured IP's and masks.
