Can the same session pass through different firewalls?
Considering that the same internal network is protected by two different firewalls on two different internet connections, can the same session traffic pass out one firewall and come in the other firewall?
Re: Can the same session pass through different firewalls?
No it cannot since the firewall maintains state information so traffic has to pass both ways from the same firewall. You can have two firewalls in an active active configuration but for that you need to do stateful load balancing between the two using a device such as cisco arrow point switches.
