Can VPN Client v3.6+ be added to Win2K Startup

We have configured our VPN clients for no split tunnelling and would like to invoke the client software as soon as the Win2k has finished booting. This will ensure that the integrated firewall is protecting the client platform whether they have set-up a tunnel or not. My questions are:

1.Is this possible?

2. If so, are there any documentaion on this.

Re: Can VPN Client v3.6+ be added to Win2K Startup

Hi,

you dont need to do anything, FW is always on by default, even if client is running or not.

to be able to configure the client for auto-launch upon bootup, you can configure Start before logon feature, that will give you an opportunity to logon to the vpn first, and then to your windows, but it doesn't force you to use vpn client, so you can skip vpn client launch by hitting cancel, and proceed with normal windows login as well.

hope it helps.

Thx

Afaq
