Cannot ping behind firewall after establishing vpn tunnel

The current platform that I am using is a PIX 515 runnig 6.0 code with the cisco VPN client ver 3.1.1.

The problem that I am having is that I cannot ping any devices behind the firewall(priavate network) once the VPN has been established.

I am not even being authenticated by the ACS server either. I am thinking that may an access list needs to be implemented but I am not sure.

Yes, you need to configure your VPN access lists to allow ICMP and you’ll need to configure XAUTH for VPN authentication. Some config examples for both can be found here:
