I cant access my CSMARS either from the GUI or via SSH but i can ping it.

This error below was displayed on the console:

"ext 3 - fs error device ide 0

(3,5) (3,3) (3,6) instart transaction journal has aborted

ext e _get_ide_inode_loc"

what do i need to do to bring this box up and running?

thanks

Hi Brian,

My guess is that you have tried rebooting this device a few times, please do so if you haven't. Two or three hard reboots might fix this but if not then you must consider sending it back as this looks like a harddrive issue.

Do a Google on "ext 3 -fs error device ide 0"

I'm no Linux expert but fs means file system and ide has to do with harddrives. It sounds like your harddrive has crashed.

If you were allowed access to the Linux shell then there might be some hope, but only Cisco TAC can do this. Try opening a troubleticket and see what they say.

Please report back on what you find out.

Hope this helps.

Paul
