CAS and exempt device

Excuse my naivety, but I have the following problem. I have a CAS and a controlled port X; I add the mac address learnt by port X to the exempt list on the CAS. I restart the device attached to the port, but the port is then forced into the authentication VLAN defined by the port control on the CAS. Is this expected behaviour? As I was expecting the device to be placed onto the access vlan.

Re: CAS and exempt device

From the CAM v4 Manager manual:

Filter lists (configured under Device Management > Filters) can be set by MAC, IP or subnet, and can auto-set role assignment. Filters allow users (or devices) to bypass both authentication and Clean Access certification (posture assessment).

The Exempt list is set by MAC address (under Device Management > Clean Access > Certified Devices > Add Exempt Device) and allows users to bypass Clean Access certification (posture assessment) only.
