CAS OOB, how does the rest of the traffic go to the trusted zone?

Hi Guys,

I was reading upon the CAS material and it was saying that in the OOB mode, only the authentication + certification pass through the server. My question is how does the rest of the traffic passes to the trusted zone. Is it not going through the CAS??

Thanks and regards,

Re: CAS OOB, how does the rest of the traffic go to the trusted

You are exactly correct. Once posture assessment and authentication have occurred in an OOB mode, the end user is returned to an access VLAN (from the Auth VLAN) and the CAS is completely out of the picture. The only way to enforce traffic restrictions after authentication would be to deploy in an in-line mode.

Cheers.
