When installing CiscoWorks Common Services as a standalone application, the install gets to 96% (Configuring CCS SQL Components), and then brings up a window with the following error message
Interactive SQL
Error at line 1
Specified database not found
We have left everything to defaults, not selecting any different paths, but this has now happened twice, both at the same point. A trial install made on a different server worked fine, but we cannot see any reason why it would fail on the new server, when all requirements for hardware and software have been set (except the memory in the server is only 512MB, instead of the required minimum of 1GB, but surely that would not prevent an install working!)
Does anybody know of why this particular error occurs?

Are you using WIN2K Terminal Services Client to install the Common Services CD remotely?
That may not work, you need to be physically at the WIN2K server and install Common Services as the LOCAL ADMINISTRATOR . You should not logon to a Windows Domain. It is better if you remove Common Services manually before reinstalling as You said installation was completed only by 96%, using regedit. You can refer to this link, hope it will be useful to you:

Hi
Thanks for your reply. Yes we were using Terminal services!
After posting the message, we were later informed about installing software remotely, and that there are issues with this method.
We have now installed CCS successfully by going down to the bowels of the building and showing physical presence to the server!
