Changing the hardware address on PIX501

Is it possible to change the MAC address of the outside interface on PIX 501 running PIX OS 6.1(1) ?? If it is what is the command for that???

Hi, the MAC addresses in the PIX are hard coded. You cannot change them.

I thought we can change the MAC address like int the router IOS. In the router IOS it's possible to change the MAC address using the "mac-address" command in the interface mode. The BIA remains unchanged.

Could you please confirm that there is no simillar command in PIX OS ??

Confirmed. No similar command exist on the PIX.
