I am trying to set up a VPN for a client with a Cisco Pix 506E at their main office. It would be a site-to-site VPN, connecting another admin office to the main one.
They have a Cisco 1721 router running IOS 12.3. When I look at SDM shows a menu for VPN configuration, but the current version of the software doesn't support it. Is there one that would and which one would it be?
There certainly are versions of IOS for the 1721 that support VPN. Probably it is more a question of feature set more than it is a question of version. The advanced security, or the advanced services feature sets should provide the functionality that you are looking for.
