Cisco 2501 VPN capabilities

Can the Cisco 2501 support an IPSEC VPN tunnel between it and a Cisco 2610? Does it require an upgrade in the IOS feature set (i.e new license)?

Yes, there are 56-bit IPSEC images available for the 2501. You’ll need to upgrade the IOS feature set.
