Cisco 2621 router with Nortel Contivity VPN Client

Hi,

I have a 2621 router currently being used to provide internet connectivity to 5 PCs. I am using a ethernet WIC for adsl with my ISP. My clients want to use the Nortel VPN client to connect via VPN. The router is currently configured to use NAT/PAT. I have been able to only configure only 1 PC to do VPN using the ip nat source static command. Is it possible for the other 4 clients to VPN without me purchasing any other type of hardware since it would be very costly. The ISP provider provided me with only one IP address.

Unless the nortel vpn system can do some sort of ipsec packet encapsulation prior to the nat, you will not be able to get more than one vpn through your PAT router.

The support for multiuser ipsec pass thru is not yet available on the 2600. It is available for soho 800 routers.

Regards,
