Cisco 3030 Concentrator, Deleted Filter

I was configuring a 3030 using the console/menu mode and accidently deleted a filter. From that point on I can not access the 3030 at all.

I have tried ctrl-c and ctrl-g after the "..." as a couple of tech notes described, but still get no response from the 3030.

Is there any way to bring this 3030 back to its original config? Is there a hardware reset (other than the paperclip hole on the front), which will boot an original config?

Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Greg Eells

Hi,

All you can do in this scenario, turn it off, back on, and again try the console connection(using straight-thru cable), you should be able to break into the box to load the last saved CONFIG, or just rename the CONFIG.BAK to CONFIG, and reboot the box again.

If that doesn't help, try using the web interface, by connecting the PC to the inside network, and see if u can ping, then try http from there.

If nothing works, it would be better to open up a TAC case to get helped if possible.

Thanks

Afaq
