Cisco 678 and VPN settings?

My company sent me software to be able to connect to them via DSL going thru VPN.

I have a 678 and Win 2000 and Win XP Home. I want to connect to work using this software but am told that something on my system is preventing me from connecting to work. I think it is some setting within the 678 that I must enable to all 'pass thru' as they call it.

Any ideas what I need to look for or set within my 678?

Thanks

Re: Cisco 678 and VPN settings?

You’re probably doing port translation that your VPN software doesn’t support. Cisco’s VPN software for their 3000 and 5000 series concentrators usually work in this type of environment because they support NAT transparency mode. If it’s not that, then your ISP is probably blocking VPN.
