Cisco 831 router--- dot1x critical and MAB Support
We have 4 Cisco 831 routers that we are trying to configure for wired 802.1x authentication using CSSC (Cisco Secure service client -- free version). I was wondering what version of IOS (on 831 platform) support the dot1x critical as well as Mac-auth bypass features. I checked the release note for 12.4 with no luck...
I was wondering if anyone was able to get these features working on Cisco 831 platform?
Re: Cisco 831 router--- dot1x critical and MAB Support
MAB is on by default on 831s running the Spouse-n-kids feature set. There is no notion of critical-auth access. You can either have authenticated access or un-authenticated access. Un-authenticated access includes no supplicant, critical, auth-fail etc all clubbed together because typically they all are givent he same access anyway on a SOHO environment.
