I am having an issue trying to figure out a way that we can update our Symantec client so that it will allow clients that have a higher version number access as well. If you are a Symantec Client, you can get patches ahead of time and what not. So what you may have is a version dated 9/25 instead of what 9/21 version that is recorded on the CAM. Any help would be appreciated.
You can create a separate rule with certain version number as a benchmark and rule should be to allow everything higher than that value. Then in the requirement section select this newly created rule along with predefined check for update rule. Also make sure you choose the option 'match any selected rule' in the requirement. This way all clients who either pass the autoupdate rule as well as clients who have verson of dat above the number you set in your manual rule will pass. I hope that helps.
