Cisco Mac OS X VPN client loses ability to connect - Log included
I have used various versions of the Cisco Mac OS X VPN client for a number of years and have never run into this problem (current config was working fine with no changes on client or server end up until a couple of nights ago when I lost the connection with the server and was not able to reestablish)).
Current version: 4.9.00 (0050)
Symptom: Am prompted for username and pw (PIN + fob #). When entered, the client indicates that it's communicating with the security gateway, does not connect and simply puts the username/p/w prompt up again.
- Unload/load .kext (typical OS X problem solver)
- Reinstall client
- Downgrade client (to 4.8)
- Re-upgrade client (to 4.9)
- Checked with my IT support to confirm that teh VPN server is running properly, no other users having any problems
-"Resync" fob, even though my account did not suggest any problem with the sync according to out IT support
-Power cycle my wireless router and DSL modem
I've attached a connection log from one of these attempts. It looks to me like the server thinks I'm not inputing authentication data when I am. I don't get it, everything was working perfectly up until a couple of days ago and, without changing anything, I'm no longer able to connect.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/help.
Edit - Not sure why but the attachment comes down with a ".tx" suffix instead of ".txt". Should open properly if you just edit the suffix to ".txt".
