cisco router to nortel fails one way

I have a situation where if I initiate tunnel from Cisco side all is well. When Nortel contivity tries to initiate, fails Phase 1 MM. Both sides policies are the same 3des, sha-1, pre-shared, group 1. When Nortel tries to initiate see des not 3des and eventually MM fails. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Re: cisco router to nortel fails one way

Hi,

I think a good way of going around this would be to add another isakmp policy within the Router config, so as to have the des encryption incorporated into the second one just for backup and see if that helps, otherwise I think this needs to be discussed with the Nortel folks on why they are sending des when thats not even configured on their Router.

Hope this helps,

Thanks and Regards,
