My Cisco VPN Client software crash at some point. Everytime I'm trying to uninstall or either install the software in order to repair it I received the following error message:
Error 28000: Before installing the Cisco Systems VPN Client 4.6.02.0011, you must uninstall the previous version of Cisco Systems Secure VPN Client or IRE Safenet\SoftPK Client, using the Add/Remove Program Files option in the Control Panel. Then Restart your system.
Ther is not such software in the Add/Remove program.
I need repair this software badly. Please if you have any suggestion I'll appreciated. My system runs Windows XP Professional w/ SP2. Thanks

Is there any chance that an older version was installed on this machine at one time? Try removing all VPN clients complete from add/remove programs. After you reboot try looking at this manual removal process for v3.5 to see if you see any of this stuff. If you do remove it (backup registry first just in case) website is:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2308/products_tech_note09186a0080094b7f.shtml
Then try the fresh install again.
Hope this helps.
