Cisco VPNclient causing client server apps disconnections!

cisco VPN client service 4.6 or 4.7 causing disconnections of client server apps e.g. SAPgui.

No such problems are documented. Please provide me a solution.

Re: Cisco VPNclient causing client server apps disconnections!

Not sure if this is the same thing or not but I once came across a similar problem with a user experiencing server disconnects.

After troubleshooting, we discovered the server was sending TCP Keepalives but the user's machine was not responding so the session was disconnected.

We found that the Cisco VPN client software seemed to be the cause of the issue (I guess it had somehow got corrupted) and resolved the problem as follows:

1) Uninstalled Cisco VPN client software from user's machine.

2) Reset TCP/IP stack on user's machine:

netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

(See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;299357 for more details)

3) Reinstalled Cisco VPN client software again.

After following these steps, the user no longer experienced server disconnects. Could be a similar thing in your case maybe?
