Clients with static IP addresses

Total newbie here. My PIX-501 is working fine for clients on the network that use the firewall's DHCP for their IP addresses but I can't set up the clients to access the internet that have static IP addresses. On the client machines what do I use as the default gateway and DNS server in the TCP/IP setup? The PIX has an extrnal IP of 192.168.254.253 which connects to a router and an internal IP of 192.168.1.1. Thanks

Hi,

On your inside client/PC's TCP/IP setup point the default gateway to be the inside IP address of your PIX i.e.inside interface address of your PIX, I presume this is 192.168.1.1

Let me know how you get on.

I thought I tried doing that with no joy but I tried again and it's up and running.

Thanks Jay.
