Concurrent session limit

Has anyone actually seen what happens when a concentrator hits its max connection number. We're approaching 90 on a 3005 (limit 100) and we'd like to know what to expect.

Thanks

Mike

Re: Concurrent session limit

The 100 session/user limit is to give you a guideline for optimal performance.

The more filters, network lists ,etc, you have configured you start taking a performance hit.

I saw a thread here where a customer actually was operating with 140 users/tunnels. We did not hardcode this limit to 100, so most likely your 3005 will not stop operating. Keep in mind also that the 3005 also suppports either 32 MB or 64 RAM, so you might want to consider this also.

Re: Concurrent session limit

That's good to hear. We were concerned it was a hard limit. We have seen around 75 users on it and the throughput and cpu did not even register any lines on the utilizationa graph.

Thanks again

Mike
