Configuring Windows/RADIUS on Concentrator

I am trying to get users to authenticate using their Active Directory usernames and passwords via our Windows IAS Radius server, but can't. I configured the server in Configuration | System | Servers | Authentication. Then I configured the RADIUS server it's self. I then tested it on my VPN client by typing domain\username then the password. However my syslog server gives me this error:

9/28/2006 8:36 AM : AUTH-4-5 844544: 2006 Sep 28 08:34:32.980 -0100 +1:00 %AUTH-4-5: RPT=286: Authentication rejected: Reason = Unspecified handle = 587, server = 192.168.1.1, user = myusername, domain = MYDOMAIN

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

As long as you have:

server type: radius

auth server: ip address of your radius server

used for: user auth

server port: 1645 or exact port that you have configured for use

server secret: as configured on your radius server

verify: same as above

Another thing you can try is to put in your username on the vpn client without the domain name

whilst you are connecting, click under the monitoring tab to see what error you will get.

But you should be good with the advise as set out above
