connect esx vmware server physically to different segments

That what our server boys ask me to do. One nic is in inside lan and other nic is connected to DMZ area. Have anybody experience of this. I m not an expert of vwware products and now hard to decide is it right thing to do that kind of connections. (like bridging two networks)

Does anybody done that. Is it safe.

Any idea or whitepapers.

Thanks

Juhs

Re: connect esx vmware server physically to different segments

Its not safe to put your nics in two diffent security zones. This is highly avoidable. You can create one more secure zone which is lesser than the inside and connect your server. Otherwise hackers may try to acces your server and then get in to inside network.
