Connect to Exchange server using VPN, Mac OS X, Outlook

My scenario. I have an eMac that connects to the internet through a DLink router. When I VPN to our Cisco 3060 using 4.0.2C then bring up Outlook which of course is a classic mode, it will not connect to our Exchange server. However, when I take the DLink out of the picture and connect directly to the our cable modem, it works like a charm. Obviously, it is a setting on the router. Now, others have tested with iBooks and Linksys and we have the same problem. I have a case open with DLink as well. Thanks

Is your device running PAT? Some low end devices use a non-standard implementation of PAT that has been known to be the cause of similar problems. It would be worth looking into this.
