Re: COPY IMAGE FROM PRIMARY TO FAILOVER

Because you have different version of PIX OS you cannot bring failover up... you need download PIX OS from primary PIX to tftp and than from TFTP to secondary - same with pdm image

Here is link how upgrade PIX:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_tech_note09186a0080094a5d.shtml#upgrade511

BTW latest 6.x version is 6.3(5) i strictly recommend upgrade both PIXes to this version. PDM version 1.1.2 is also obsolete latest PDM is v3.0(2) - it would be better to have latest PDM too

Re: COPY IMAGE FROM PRIMARY TO FAILOVER

There is no way to copy the image from a PIX to a TFTP server. You need the image downloaded from Cisco, I recommend th latest 6.3.5 too and than you can copy it from TFTP to the PIX.

Re: COPY IMAGE FROM PRIMARY TO FAILOVER

Actually you can tftp if usign version 7.+

Re: COPY IMAGE FROM PRIMARY TO FAILOVER

I kind of have the same problem, we have some 515e already in place with version 7.0(5) and bough FO's to add HA. However i cannot get them flashed. I found this article and i think it hints at the fact that they need to be plugged into a UR in order for the flash to work.. is this correct?
