crypto map dyn-map 20 ipsec-isakmp dynamic cisco-- what does this line do?

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could tell me exactly what the function of line 3 below is:

1.crypto ipsec transform-set myset esp-des esp-md5-hmac

2.crypto dynamic-map cisco 1 set transform-set myset

3.crypto map dyn-map 20 ipsec-isakmp dynamic cisco

To figure out what line 3 does you have to take in context to lines 1 & 2.

1. creates a transform set

2. creates a Dynamic map named "cisco" and applies the transform set to it.

3. creates a crypto map named "dyn-map" with an id of 20, using isakmp, and it also tells it to be dynamic using the "cisco" dynamic map in line 2.

You have to have line 3 in order to apply this map to an interface, for example:

"crypto map dyn-map interface outside"

keeping in mind that the "dyn-map" is only an identifier.
