I am trying to add 2 routers to MARS, but MARS returns an error message requesting I change the "publicly known initial credentials..." using the commands "username privilege 15 secret 0 and no username cisco".
I have verified that the cisco username is not in the routers. MARS is unable to add these cisco routers to its database. Has anyone had this same problem?

MARS will not correctly add a device to its database if there is a login banner. MARS interprets the banner as an error when trying to login to the device and get ocnfiguration information.
I removed the login banner and MARS successfully discovers the device now.

You can get it to work with a banner you just have to play w. it a little. MARS attempts to log into the device by looking for particular characters, for example: login> , you can edit the characters it looks for before it passes the username.
