CSA ASAPI Filter not loading for IIS

We had an issue with the ASAPI filter for CSA not loading and causing problems with IIS. We are getting an error in the application log where the source is W3SVC-WP Event ID 2241 - Description is "The HTTP Filter DLL C:\program files\Cisco Systems\CSAgent\bin\csafilter.dll failed to load. The data is the error." The only way to fix the issue is to removed the ASAPI Filter and restart IIS. Let me know if you have heard of this and how to correct the error.

The message you are seeing is logged by windows in the windows event log. It appears like windows is unable to load a certain dll. From the message it looks like the DLL is related to the Cisco HIDS agent. This is an old IDS agent that is no longer supported There may be some remnants of the agent still on that machine. You need to uninstall and completely removed it from the system.
