We have been updating our CSA 4.5x installation to 5.x. Some of our laptops, apparently the ones built using the manufacturers systems disks, require a "Windows product Activation" after CSA update/reboot (what a PITA).
Can anyone tell me why?
And how I can avoid this?
It only seems to happen when we go from 4.5x to 5.00.176, and not to 5.00.183 (from 5.00.176).
CSA installs several drivers that appear in Device Manager. If one of those was used by Windows Product Activation,it may see itself as on different hardware now and Windows thinks it needs to be reactivated.
