when i try to add a new sensor using the new sensor wizzard in the CSPM, i have a message saying that " There is no Sensor responding in this Host ID: and Organization ID: " ..What could be the possible problem? i am able to telnet to the sensor from this CSPM running host....i have all the values like Host ID, Org, ID, Host Name and Org Name configured properly..is there anything i will have to make in CSPM or in the Sensor for the communication to happen? When i issue the command "nrconns" in the sensor, i am able to see a message saying " Syn not Received ".........What should I Do ? Advice me on this....????
well both the processes are running ...when i issue the command
snoop sensor:ip director:ip i am able to see that both the machines are trying to communicate on port 45000 (UDP)...when i issue the command nrconns in the sensor box, it says director:global (hostname:org.name) syn not sent...is there any other problem or is there any basic configuration required on the CSPM before i start to add a sensor using the add sensor wizzard ???? help me on this issue plz...
Log into the sensor as root and get into sysconfig-sensor and re-enter all the values for item 6. Do a su - netrangr and check to see if all the daemons are running on your sensor with "cat daemons" command. You should see nr.postofficed, nr.loggerd, nr.sapd, nr.fileXferd and nr.packetd. If you don't see all five daemons running then try a nrstop and nrstart to see if that gets the daemons running.
