CSPM server not responding

Hi all,

1. We have CSPM3.0 installed in windowsNT 4.0. At times we found that the CSPM is not responding while connecting to the database. Database is local. What could be the reason for this.

2. How to configure IDS in the CSPM server. Is there any other special utility to be installed to get the notifications from the server.

Suggestions are appreciated.

Hi,

The answer to #1 may be difficult to answer. How do you recover from this problem normally? I would guess that perhaps the CSPM services have stopped for some reason. Does a reboot of the server resolve the issue for a while?

As for #2, CSPM 3.0 does not support IDS. It is only used for PIX and router management. CSPM 2.3(3)i was the last version of CSPM that included support for IDS>
