I've noticed that since installing 4.0.3C VPN client that new connections ocasionally take around 30 seconds to open a VPN to a PIX. Interestingly, the second and subsequent connections usually proceed quickly.
The log on the client shows this at the pause:
77 14:36:15.423 01/15/04 Sev=Info/6 CM/0x63100036
The routing table was updated for the Virtual Adapter
We are using Client 4.0.3 A and did not see any problems. I think one possibility is that you have some sort of a dial up or ISDN connection that needs to get established first. Once that is done, the clients that connect subsequently do not need to wait for this and connect immdiately.
