Designing remote VPN architectura with VPN Concentrator 3005

Hi!

i would like to know if i could place the VPN 3005 (as gateway) behind the ADSL router 3com812 (as modem) without a firewall. Is is secure enough or do I need to install a firewall behind the concentrator? You must consider that all branches and the central site are connecting to Internet through a point to point line located at the central site with a Cisco 2500. The central site does not use the ADSL line to go to Internet, only to connect to the VPN. I would like to get some suggestions.

Hi Nuria,

It will still be a good idea to have a Firewall , something relatively small like a PIX501. As these days its a necessity to have a Firewall to be placed within your network with all the security threats going around. Get in touch with your local Cisco Sales team aswell and they should be able to suggest you more options in this case.
