When I SSH into my IDS 4250 how can I determine the version of the IDS software?

Thank you!

Re: determine version of IDS

Hi Eric,

On a 3.x version, the command is nrvers.

On a 4.0 version the command is show version

Thanks,

Yatin:

I typed in nrvers and was returned with nrvers: not found

I typed in show version and was returned with show: not found

Any other ideas!?!?

Thank you!

Re: determine version of IDS

Eric,

What version is the sensor on? 3.x or 4.0?

If 3.x then are you logged in as netrangr? You need to be logged in as netrangr.

thanks,

Thanks Yatin. I was logged in as root and not netrangr. I'm running 3.0(5)S17.

Re: determine version of IDS

NetRanger (CSIDS) commands aren't generally available when you're logged in as root, so first ensure that you're logged in as user netrangr.

then, try nrvers or idsvers

Hope this helps,

Jeff
