Dial-up <---> LAN access - VPN client 3.6.1 on Win98
I'm having an issue with the version 3.6.1 client on Win98. My laptop is usually connected to the LAN via an ethernet adapter, but sometimes I need to dial-up and use the VPN client when I'm out of the office. I've been unsuccessful in switching between the modem and ethernet adapters. If I dial-in and use the VPN, when I go back to the office and reconnect to the LAN, I cannot browse the network until I release the IP information off the adapters and renew the lease. The reverse is also true--I cannot leave the LAN connection and dial-in with the VPN until the adapter has been released. Does anyone know a fix for this? Is there an easy way? Thanks much for your time.
