digital certificates and username/password

I'm using a Cisco VPN Concentrator 3005 as a VPN Gateway for my remote users. Today we started using digital certificates to prove the identify of the remote users.

The concentrator accepts the certificates from the remote users. But the users also have to provide a username/password. Is this normal?

Isn't it possible to link the digital certificate of the users to the users defined on the concentrator?

Hi,

its normal, u can remove XAUTH prompt, if you want to :

by setting auth-type to none under IPSec - groups.
