Hi All,

how can I check whether address or host is set for identity on both PIX506E and a 2600 Router.? show run doesn't seem to display and neither does show (crypto) isakmp policy. Cheers.

By default, "address" is set as the identity. Hence it would not showup in any configs, Unless you manually add the statement again. But if you want to verify, you can launch the webbased PDM (Pix device Manager) and go to Configuration/VPN/IKE policies and see the present setting.

2600 router has ip address as the default isakmp identity; whereas pix 506e has hostname.
