DMVPN spoke limitation

Dear friends,

I have a Cisco 3845 with AIM-VPN/SSL-3 module. This is acting as a DMVPN hub and the number of spokes are around 15.

The spoke routers are 2821/1841.

The routing protocol used is OSPF.

Is there any limitation on the number of spokes i can have? Do you think it is important that the hub is upgraded to 7206VXR?

Thanks a lot

Regards

Gautam

Re: DMVPN spoke limitation

Hello,

No I have personally used the 3845 with aim-epii module for 70+ sites. it pushed T-3 line rate, and we had moderate CPU loads.

You'll be fine...

for really big DMVPN hubs (over 100+) sites each with T-1 I used 7206VXR NPE-G2 with VAM2
