DNS Forwarders on ASA 5510

Is it possible to add our ISP DNS forwarders to the ASA 5510 Config??

If it is, what command would I be looking at inputting?

Thanks in advance,

Monster

I Understand that you would like to use the ASA as a DNS Proxy for your Internal DNS Server.

this feature is not available on the ASA. You can do DNS Inspection and Rewrites, which are described in detail on the following

webpage:

The ASA will not server as a dns forwarder.

It will proxy and inspect dns requests/responses through it, but it will not answer to dns requests by itself.

I hope it is clear.

Yep, clear as day

How to place a feature request ? - "any" firewall, or cheap router can do this today, and in certain circumstances, it's a valuable feature.

You can work with your Cisco Account team for that. They can request it as a feature for their customer from development.

I hope it helps.
