Does 2600 VPN module support MPPE ?

I want to do pptp vpdn on the cisco 2651 with VPN AIM. Does the VPN accelerator support MPPE ? And how can I check it ?

Hi,

I do not think AIM card for 2651 will do MPPE encryption.

It is for 3DES or DES IPSEC necryption only.

For MPPE, you still can use IOS software encrytion.

When you building up several LAN to LAN IPSEC tunnel and passing 5M per second, that is the reason to use AIM card for hardware encrytion.

There is command for check the AIM card satistics:

"show crypto engine accelerator statistic "
