Does the metric Keyword on routes on PIX works like floating static?

I was wondering if the metric keyword in the statis route command for the PIX works lik a floating static

No. Don't think of the PIX as any kind of router. It's only wanting to know how many hops away the route is intended. Default is 1 without modifying it.
