Does the PIX support the transparent mode?

Hi,

I don't know whether the pix support the transparent mode to provide the internet service.

Somebody can answer me? and give me some URL about this issue. Thanks

The PIX does NOT currently support L2 firewalling, you will have to assign it different IP subnets on each interface.

L2 or "transparent" firewalling is a new feature slated for the v7.0 release next year, so it is coming.

No timerame at this point but I would not expect anything before at least the second half of the year. If this is something you need now, you may want to look into the FWSM (PIX blade for the Cat6K) as this is a feature in the upcoming (end of '03) 2.1 release.
