Dollar Prompt

My IDS got password locked while using for training purpose. After I gave it some tech guys to open the password, it boots to a dollar prompt. The header shows Sun Microsytems Sun OS 5.8. I am unable to get to the sensor login propmt and the # propmt. If someone could get me to that point it would be helpful. I have no idea what those guys did with it also.

have you got a CD to boot it off and rebuild it?

NO we dont have a CD to boot it. Would be great if u could help us with it. As we see it, we are booting the machine and we put in the first password and then it stops before the sensor log in apparently in solaris platform with a dollar prompt
