Encryption support on an Async NM port-by-port basis

There's a requirement to encrypt data between a user's PC connected via 2651 FE I/F and voicemail server that is connected via 2651 with 32-port Async NM.

Can encryption only be turned on for this one application connection? Or will it be enable for all Layer 3 connections? Can it be specified on a specific interface/port? What about a Layer Cisco device? Can encryption be carried to the switch that connections to the router?
