Entercept Agent Failure

When attempting to start Entercept Agent Service, it fails. The errors in the Event Log are as follows:

enterceptAgent Failure: Failed to start secure communication library and

enterceptAgent Failure: General Initialization Error

The Debug Log contains the following:

.Trace: entercept Agent Startup.

.Debug: C:\Program Files\Cisco IDS\Agent\publickey

.Error: entercept secure startup failure

.Trace: Conection to server failure

.Error: failed to connect to server

.Error: CoreShield Agent initialization error.

.Trace: Sending message.

.Error: the specialMode registry value isn't of DWORD type

.Trace: entercept Agent terminating.

Please provide the type and version of the agent that you installed and the specifics about the host OS.

Are you running any other software (anti-virus)?

Have you tried reinstalling the agent?
